25th International Metropolis Conference: Official Website and Twitter-Channel Now Online!

The 25th International Metropolis Conference will take place from 4 - 9 September 2022 at the bcc Berlin Congress Centre. The conference is being organised by the German Federal Ministry of Labour and Social Affairs in close collaboration with Metropolis International. Network IQ is a cooperation partner of the conference.

Metropolis International is the world’s largest international network for sharing knowledge on a wide range of migration, integration, inclusion and diversity issues. It aims to foster collaboration between researchers, policy-makers, civil society and business leaders, in order to address current and future challenges in a sustainable and cross-sectoral manner.

Following the title "Changing migration, migration in change", the conference in Berlin will discuss the impact of COVID-19 on migration and mobility, along with technological developments and the future of work, climate change and the implications for migration, and the conditions which are essential for fair migration.

Since the beginning of July 2021, more detailed information is available at the conference website www.imcb22.com, which will be updated continuously. The front page features a video clip on the conference topics with Hubertus Heil, German Minister of Labour and Social Affairs.

Moreover, the Twitter-community can now follow the 25th International Metropolis Conference on its official twitter channel, @IMCB22, to receive the most recent news on the event.

A call for workshop proposals for the conference will be published in November 2021 and end on 31 January 2022.
The registration for the conference will open from 1 March 2022, with an early bird ticket available until 31 May 2022. There will be a conference fee. The conference will be held in English, with translations available in German and French.
