Intercultural opening is aimed at creating equal rights and participation as well as reducing discrimination and racism. As a societal challenge, it concerns politics, economics, education, health care and the social sector.
Discrimination on the labour market
Numerous studies have shown that people with a migration background in Germany come up against barriers more when they want to participate using their potential. At the same time drawing a demographic change and increasing labour and demand for skilled labour. It is also because of this that access barriers need to be removed and a discrimination-free working environment needs to be created.
Diversity and Inclusion
The concept of diversity management refers to the sum of differences and similarities between people in diversely configured workforces in relation to different "diversity dimensions". These are basically identical to the dimensions protected under the EU directives on equal treatment and the General Equal Treatment Act AGG .
