The Network IQ at European Commission conference for migrant inclusion

On 12 April, Liam Patuzzi (IQ Dissemination Project) briefly presented the Network IQ to an audience of integration policymakers, practitioners and experts in Brussels, at a Mutual Learning conference on immigrant integration hosted by the European Commission. The workshop focused on upskilling and bridge-training measures, which help immigrants access jobs that are in line with their abilities and interests. In a lively discussion with representatives of all EU Member States, Liam emphasised what a massive impact the recognition of foreign credentials can have on an individual’s employment prospects, before pointing to the diversity of formats the Network IQ has tested—from blended learning to team teaching—to address highly individualised training needs and help migrants and refugees get their professional qualifications fully recognised.
